It’s hard enough making ends meet while you are working, so what happens if you can’t work due to sickness or injury? LGsuper automatically provides most members with death and disability insurance that covers them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So you, your family and your lifestyle can be protected.
What cover is offered?
Insurance benefits are slightly different for certain types members, however, in general Death and Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) cover provides a one-off lump sum payment of your account balance plus insurance benefit in the event of your death, or if you are totally and permanently disabled due to sickness, injury or disease.
Total and Temporary Disablement (TTD), Income Protection or Optional Salary Continuance insurance provide a monthly payment for up to 2 years if you become disabled due to sickness or injury.

Insurance from 1 July 2012
We’re making some important changes to your insurance from 1 July 2012. LGsuper will progressively write to members during May 2012 to tell you about the changes and your eligibility for a special offer to increase your Death and Total and Permanent Disablement cover or reduce your Income Protection waiting period.
