7 February 2012 - LGsuper appoints OnePath Life as new insurer
LGsuper has appointed OnePath Life as the fund's group life insurer from 1 July this year.
24 January 2012 - LGsuper has Australia's best performing balanced option
As reported in the Sydney Morning Herald (21 January 2012), LGsuper has outperformed other large Australian superannuation balanced investment options over the 12 month period to 31 December 2011*. LGsuper's Conservative Balanced investment option was ranked first over one year and second over 5 years.
4 January 2012 - LGsuper awarded Platinum for a third year

Recent media reports on defined benefits may prompt some LGsuper members to seek more information on their defined benefit arrangements and their fund’s financial health following the global financial crisis and more recently, sovereign debt concerns in Europe.

3 November 2011 - Apply for insurance online
For most members, applying for cover through LGsuper is now as simple as logging in to LGsuper online and filling in your details through our new LIFEapp* tool.
20 October 2011 - View your statement online now!
All members can now view their Annual benefit statement and their current balance by logging into our secure website LGsuper online. All statements have now been mailed, so if you have not received your statement by the end of October, be sure to contact us.
27 September 2011 - Temporary interruptions for former City Super members
The transfer of City Super's member records to the LGsuper computer system is progressing well and we are now able to process full withdrawals and rollovers. Most members can now register and access their account balance online. View full story
20 September 2011 - City Super Member Transfer Statements mailing shortly
Former City Super members will soon receive their Member Transfer Statements in the mail. The statement replaces, and contains the same information, as the Annual Benefit Statement received in previous years.
