Extension of minimum pension payment rates
Date: 5/07/2010
The Australian Government announced on 30 June 2010 that it will continue to protect superannuation pension holders by extending the 50% reduction in the minimum pension payment rates for 2010/11. This means that the minimum payment rates applying to LGsuper Pension accounts for 2010/11 will be the same as they were for 2008/09 and 2009/10.
Prior to this announcement, we wrote to all LGsuper Pension account holders advising that the minimum payment rates for 2010/11 would be twice the rates that applied in 2009/10. We apologise for any confusion this letter may have caused.
If you have any questions about your Pension account or your pension payments, please call LGsuper on 1800 444 396.
