Brighter Super has been working with industries to launch employee “Super Hubs” to give employees easy workplace access to information and resources to manage their super.  A Super Hub is an online portal on an employer’s workplace server or intranet providing relevant information to support employees on a positive superannuation journey.

Each Super Hub includes video e-learning modules, FAQs, online bookings for Super Health Checks and contacts for help and financial advice for employees to access.

To date, Brighter Super has rolled out 24 Super Hubs across Queensland local government councils and more recently three large energy industry employers.

Brighter Super’s Chief Experience Officer, Lisa Kay, said the Super Hub provides a wealth of information particularly for new employees or members and those who wanted to understand how to maximise their superannuation at any life stage.

“We work with each employer to tailor the information on the Super Hub portal to their employees and industry needs, and make sure the content really adds value to and supports greater financial literacy and wellbeing,” Ms Kay said.

She said one of Brighter Super’s most popular services was the Super Health Check, an in-person or digital 30-minute review of your superannuation account with a super specialist, which can be booked on the Super Hub.

“This is included at no additional cost for Brighter Super members and helps employees understand how much they might need for a comfortable retirement, and discover new ways to grow their superannuation,” she said.

Brighter Super offers no-fee investment switching, meaning that members can move all or part of their superannuation to a different investment option at no charge.

In 2022, nearly 3,000 members took advantage of the Super Health Check offering.

Ms Kay said Super Hub also includes FAQs to answer the most common questions asked by employees, such as:

  • How much superannuation do I receive as an employee?
  • How can I make extra contributions to my super?
  • How do I find if I have any lost super?
  • What income protection insurance do I get as an employee?

The Super Hub also offers direct access to Brighter Super’s Member Services team on the ‘Talk to Us’ page.

Brighter Super is happy to work with all employers to provide a Super Hub as part of their employee offering and is continually looking at adding modules and information to keep the sites refreshed and up to date.
